These two songs were made using recordings performed by a group of Kurdish men currently seeking asylum in the UK. The initial project where the recordings took place, was funded by Youth Music and coordinated by the music charity Rhythmix, and led by Max Wheeler ( one half of Anushka ) .
All of the money that you pay for this music will go to charity, split between 2 charities; to Rhythmix to allow projects like this to happen again and to Help Refugees who are doing vital work to improve the current situation.
Also, a big thank you to the guys behind the Future Bubblers project and everybody at Brownswood Recordings - without them none of this would of happened.
The artwork was created by Sammy Harpin, so a massive thanks to him too.
I would like to add a further thank you to Youth Music, as my interest in the music world was initially sparked as part of a project that they funded in Deptford a few years ago.
